The Earthwing Hightailer is great for those who've known nothing but skating all their lives and want to switch over to longboarding, or for those who want a baord that's capable of downhill and freeriding while still being able to mess around with manuals, shuv it's and other tricks of the sort. The Hightailer is actually quite a bit of board which although can feel hindering if you're carrying around will make getting wherever you want like riding a limo, as weight converts to momentum, but be careful http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifif you're going to be hauling this thing around town or walking up hills a lot as it can be a hassle.
The hightailer is 10" wide which is great for most feet but smaller riders may have a harder time manipulating it for tricks and slides. This board is also awesome for those that need a commuting board but have a lot of curbs they have to drop off of, or those high poorly built ride ups that are complicated to just charge over without deweighting yourself. Overall I would recommend the hightailer to anyone looking for a good all around board, that also has some kind of kicktail as I've found having nothing can be a pain at times when a kicktail could make something 20x easier to simply get over or onto.
